Band Biography for black ocean eyes:

When their metal band began to come apart at the seams, Serge and Jinny decided that, rather than pick up their needle and thread, they would seize the opportunity to try something new. Thus, Serge put down his drumsticks and picked up an acoustic guitar, and Jinny reigned in the screaming (somewhat) and sat next to Serge with a guitar of her own. Several unusual chord progressions, a scrawl of lyrics and one or two shouting matches later, Black Ocean Eyes was spawned.

Though they have unplugged and waded into a previously unfamiliar soundscape, they have relinquished none of the raw, seething heartbeat that has always been their lifeblood, and their metal roots can still be heard in the unpredictable time changes and confrontational vocals they use to keep each other on their toes.

Live, they have played with everything from acoustic acts to full metal bands – and are more than able to hold their own in either setting.

Black Ocean Eyes are dark and brooding, changeable and volatile. Soulful, temperate melodies writhe in the midst of wild, vitriolic storms. Lullabies escalate into feral requiems.

Black Ocean Eyes are boundless.
