Band Biography for bootscraper:

Bootscraper is an eight-piece Country & Eastern/Agro-Folk band that formed in Leeds, in 2008 and is currently signed to Manchester based TNS Records. The band infuses traditional music styles from all over the world with energy and passion. Leading to comparisons with Gogol Bordello, Tom Waits and Hayseed Dixie.

Bootscraper has released one self-produced album on TNS “Country & Eastern” receiving plaudits from reviewers in Big Cheese and Rock Sound publications. Also, they have released a DVD featuring a live set at The Brudenell Social Club in Leeds.

Originally the band started out playing bluegrass and country music. As the band matured together more elements were incorporated such as Punk and Balkan music.
The band consists of Timothy Loud (lead vocals, guitar, harmonica), Cassius C. Langhorne (lead vocals, banjo), Daniel Bond (vocals, mandolin), Joel Murray (accordion), Derek Magee (violin), Chris McCollin (bass), Luke Howell (djembe) and Frazer Marsh (drums).

Bootscraper are set to embark on their “Chin & Bones Tour” showcasing new material from their forthcoming album, and also the milestone of their 100th gig during the tour.
