The Sailmakers are an English Folk Rock band from the north of England. The band formed in Keighley in May 2008 with Ryan Madden(vocals/guitars),John Chapman(vocals/guitars),Thomas Ward(bass guitar).The band gigged up until August 2009 as an acoustic act,then came in Matthew Fowlds(drums) and the band went electric.In 2009 and early 2010 The Sailmakers have had sevral in session radio slots including two with the BBC.In September 2009 they made their first promotional video which is on Myspace and YouTube.Influences include The Byrds,Shack,The Who,Paul Simon and The Beatles.
