The Faversham is a live music venue and night club/bar situated on the edge of the city centre behind Leeds University.It hosts a wide range of live music nights, both at their weekly Saturday night new band showcase Bad Sneakers, Sunday acoustic/folk/country session In The Pines and regular week night gigs. The capacity for live gigs in the main room is 425.

The venue has a reputation for supporting new indie/guitar/electro and folk music and local bands and also hosts the twice-yearly Nasty Fest. Bands to have played their in the past 2 years include Arctic Monkeys, Kooks, Hot Chip, The Cribs, Duels, K T Tunstall, Paolo Nutini, The Fratellis, Forward Russia, Maximo Park, Futureheads, Lily Allen, Long Blondes, Nine Black Alps, DJ Format, Madlib, The Coral, Larrikin Love, Pigeon Detectives and The Sunshine Underground.

The venue also holds a wide range of club nights, and hosts hip hop, breaks and beats based nights as well. The capacity of the whole venue is 700.

It also available for hire by external promoters wishing to put on their own events and gigs.
