The Group For Action & Dance are making their debut live appearance, showcasing their pumping and cinematic approach to electronica. Friday 8th August will see the Leeds outfit performing in the round at Belgrave Music Hall for a free entry show.

Group A.D. is a new music project from Leeds. The name stands for 'The Group For Action & Dance'. Group A.D.'s music lies somewhere between dubbed out, psychedelic post-punk and spaghetti-western orchestral maximalism.

If the first single 'Theme For Group A.D.' acted as a primer, combining coiled electronic grooves with lush string arrangements, follow up track 'This Is The Sound' welcomes you to the dancefloor. With pizzicato strings, a pulsing bass groove and vocal samples reminiscent of Kraftwerk's 'La Forme'- it could be playing on the jukebox at the Double R Diner, or in a taxi cab on some sweltering summer evening in 90's London.
